This is what we're doing today in class....

A few things today:

We're going to play a Jeopardy game to practice the terms that we had on the Chapter 1 quiz last week. The web 2.0 tool that I used to create this Jeopardy game can be found at the following link:

It's one of the most user-friendly of the tools available to create games for reinforcing learning.

We're also going to talk about ISTE - the International Society for Technology in Education - the professional organization that determines technology standards for teachers and students.

The technology standards that ISTE develops are called National Educational Technology Standards (NETS). Their website is:

The next thing we're going to do is I'm going to demonstrate Elmo for you, the document camera.

Then, we're going to move to the computer lab and I'm going to have you take a screen shot of something and crop it (practice - practice - practice).

And THEN, we're going to start on our blogs today. You will log into either www.blogger.com or www.blogspot.com.

Assignment for Thursday, January 23:

You must have your BlogSpot blog done and the link emailed to me. You will also demonstrate the ability to use Elmo in class by showing us a few pages of a children's book.
