Half Way Through the Semester!

We'll begin class today by turning in your definitions for the terms in Chapter 4.

Then, we'll have two presentations - one from Kendra and one from Waylon - on Digital Citizenship topics.

We will then watch a short video clip about using technology in the classroom. This will gear us up for the second half of the semester. I'm going to preview Chapter 4 with you (we will come back to it next week in more depth) and then we'll head to the computer lab.

A few things:

• Update your CVs with the ICWA Conference info from last week.
• Add info about QuizStar to your tech blog. The info can be found below.

Lab Activity:
Go to your tech blog and create a new entry. Post this link: http://quizstar.4teachers.org
Then, add this description:

QuizStar is a Web-based quiz maker that enables you to create, administer and automatically grade your quizzes online!

With QuizStar you can:
- Manage classes and quizzes
- Attach multimedia files to questions
- Make quizzes in multiple languages
- Access from any Internet-connected computer
- Allow students to complete and review

Log in to Quiz Star and create an account. We'll then read a short children's story and create a brief quiz to assess students' comprehension of the story elements.

Assignment for Thursday, March 13th:
Bring your 12-14 pictures on a thumb drive or some type of electronic format. We are going to start publishing our pictures books. Enjoy your break!
